Zinkali Trio with composer Adrienne Albert

The Zinkali Trio will perform Adrienne Albert’s “War Stories” on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the National Flute Convention in San Diego, California.

The Zinkali Trio is composed of Elise Carter, flute; Susan LaFever, horn; and Laura Ravotti, piano.

The trio premiered “War Stories” on October 11, 2015, at the 1st Annual Flute Fair sponsored by the New Jersey Flute Society. The event, held at Montclair State University, was attended by the composer, Adrienne Albert.

Adrienne Albert began composing her own music in the 1990s, after having collaborated as a singer with composers such as Igor Stravinsky, Leonard Bernstein, Philip Glass and Gunther Schuller.
